Monkeys have been genetically engineered to have the same affects as Autism. The monkey with Autism symptoms shows just walking around in circles and not slowing down. This will help with research against Autism and possibly create a cure or some medicine for it. One problem though is that these monkeys could be having a terrible time and could be suffering animal abuse.
Monkeys are a cool subject and have always been interesting. Whenever i see monkeys i always want to see them because of how curious they are. This though is very strange and i feel bad for it. It just walks in circles around the cage very quickly and nothing else. It does not look happy either since it does nothing else.
This will help with cures though and will be great in the medical field. It will be a great advancement and will help possibly many people. These are the types of sacrafices we have to make to help mankind. If something else suffers we just have to choose which will help us more.... even if it hurts our feelings.

ScrAPES #15 "Ninth Planet May Exist Beyond Pluto, Scientist Report"

There is compelling evidence that there may be a planet beyond Pluto that actually fits the spot to be a planet. We have not seen the planet itself yet but there is one proof that it does exist. There are astroids that are orbiting at a weird angle implying that there is another planet in our system. There will need to be future test and searches but this does give us a insight that there is more to the milky way.
Planets and space are always a good subject to learn about since we still need to learn a lot more about it. There is much more we haven't seen and it could be right in front of our faces. This planet is proof that we haven't seen everything in our solar system. This will be the something great to learn about just to see a glimpse into the future.
We might need better technology to see the planet at the moment but it will be found to be a fact in the future one of these days. With technology growing everyday sooner or later we will see everything. Discoveries are out there and we will find them.

A disease has been spreading around Latin America called Zika. This is a disease that can cause infants to have a small head at birth. It used to be a much rarer disease but misquitos have been running rampant spreading the disease to pregnant women. El Salvador has decided to tell their people to not have children till 2018 in fear of giving them the disease. Health inspectors have even started fumigating houses to get the bugs out.
My family is in El Salvador so i wanted to see the problems that have been happening in the country. This disease might not affect my family but this might scare many women that want to have children as a dream. I can imagine many people being upset about this whole mess and possibly blaming the government for this. There might be many people that will still have children and cause a problem which is why i decided to check this out.
A way to solve this is to possibly get another country to help with the situation. Since this disease might spread to other countries then others should help with research. Plus other countries could help with pest control and helping people with the disease. That way the problem would be solved faster and quicker.

ScrAPES #5 "U.S. Smoking Rate Declines, but Poor Remain at Higher Risk"

Smoking has been a problem for a very long time but now it has started to decline... but only for a some individuals. Though smoking has decreased poor people have started smoking a bit more than any other class. Many of them smoke to relieve the stress of being poor of their back but could face many lung problems in the process. This is also affecting health cares since they have to pay for these incidents and must do so.
Smoking is seen all around us and needs to be shown how bad it actually is. My uncle is a smoker as well but he has a bit of money compared to other people. People need to stop doing this otherwise lung diseases could spring out and kill a man before you know it. I will never smoke in my life knowing the risk they give. These types of articles need to be shown to smokers to show that they are hurting themselves by doing so.
Now what we could do (and are doing at the moment) is show them how bad it is and how it could affect them and other people around him/her. Now this has been working for the most part and will continue working for many years until it finally disappears. Already now that the rate of smoking is 16% we can calm down a bit and think about the situation. Slowly but surely smoking will be a thing of the past.

Reports on trying to clean the air have come and it seems like we haven't been doing enough change to help the atmosphere. With changes now happening to help nature there hasn't been enough and is going very slowly. Many of the problems seem to be coming from India and China (especially India). China may have gotten less demand for energy but India has just started giving more energy to it's people and finding out that they have coal and oil. This could turn out bad and could hurt the air more now.
Since we are in an Environmental class this is something we should be learning about and how to stop. With fear that our planet could turn out bad thanks to us humans we need to take responsibility for the problems and find ways to solve it. Without knowledge of this info we could endanger the air as well. We could also help each other if others don't know about it so we could help the world with this. This needs to be seen and stopped as soon as possible.
This article says they will still need a huge change from multiple countries to help solve this problem. We would need to make a meeting with other countries and discuss even more ways we could help the world and more. This will not be an easy change and will take years to fix. We could need even more countries than we can talk to at the moment to help as well. With enough work we could change this problem for the better.

There was a study that found out many animals that survive extinction are found to be very small. Ma.y big animals today are facing extinction are very big as well which may be a hint to the future. There was a mass extinction 359 million years ago in which many animals became extinct but from the ones that survived, many of them were very small in size. Many animals were now smaller than they were before and less than the average size. With bigger sizes animals would not reproduce as much so many were lost to never roam the Earth again.
Animals have always been an interesting topic when it comes to science since we lose and gain many of them. Large animals like giraffes and sharks are cool to look at but we are losing many of them and soon there won't be any of them. I remember seeing many endangered animals before so when i found this article and decided to see how it was like. Now that I saw this I would like to see these animals a few more times before they die out.
Big animals need to be taken care of so that they won't be lost. If we were to take care of some in zoos are look at them in the wilderness we could have less extinctions and more animals altogether. Super bugs have been around for a while now. They are bugs that are immune to some antibiotics thanks to us overusing them and them evolving. Now they are getting into America and are starting to infect people. Because super bugs are able to handle antibiotics they are able to survive getting wiped by the wipes and go into the body to get them sick. Super bugs kill up to 48,000 people per year which is very bad for the future and needs to be solved.
I've heard about super bugs a long time ago and decided I would like to learn about them a bit more. These diseases could become a big problem in the future and could become a huge problem for doctors. With people already dying to normal diseases this could just mean more death so I wanted to know more. Other then scare me that we have these diseases this helped me see how we have overused such important goods and are now paying the price.
Doctors are already thinking of ways to solve this dilemma without much problem. One big way doctors can solve this is if they start using silver and copper as walls and floors. Test have already been made and they have found that they reduce the amount bacteria on them by 97% which is huge. Also they have started making more medicine that these diseases haven't seen yet. It will be possible to combat this and we might be safe.
